Covid-19 Policy
Updated in view of 19 July 2021 unlocking.
Safety, both yours and mine, is the fundamental theme to my Covid-19 policy.
For the foreseeable future I will be instigating the following policies:
All shoots with new clients will be preceded by a short phone/video call to discuss in detail the brief for the shoot, saving some interaction on the shoot, plus allowing me to plan safely. I will also talk through things you may have concerns about - I know that everyone has their own ways of managing covid-19 safety and the more comfortable you are the more we will get out of the shoot.
I will be individually assessing each shoot, and if I feel I can't carry out the shoot safely I will let you know. I will also hold the right to leave a shoot if the conditions aren't safe i.e. I feel you are displaying symptoms etc.
I will likely wear a mask on most if not all shoots and endeavour to handle few items other than my own camera kit. I may ask you to handle items i.e. a bin in the background that needs moving out the shot. I will have my own alcohol gel with me and will use this if necessary.
I will notify you if you have a shoot booked with me and I find out I need to be self isolated due to Track and Trace system and/or have symptoms. I will not work if I feel there is a risk of passing on the virus. In these instances I will either endeavour to move the shoot to another mutually convenient day or I will source another photographer for you if I can find someone available.
You MUST let me know if you are concerned you have symptoms/are self isolating prior to a shoot. I will not be charging a cancellation fee in these instances and will aim to reschedule at no cost if this is possible.
I would be very grateful if you do have a shoot with me and then go on to develop symptoms up to 14 days later that you get in contact. This means I can take my own judgements on the level of self isolation from my own family and also the chance to notify any vulnerable clients I may be working with.
Where possible, I will aim to work outdoors. If working indoors, then I may request to work in a ventilated room.
I will not be offering Newborn sessions for the upcoming weeks. Newborns are often unsettled being photographed outside, and shooting newborns often means close contact in the way I choose to shoot. I personally have chosen not to carry out these sessions for the time being.
I look forward to working with you!
